Psychic Art

There are a number of different facets within the field of psychic art. There are portrait artists who draw a likeness of a loved one having passed away, or of a guiding influence around you. There is the auragraph, essentially a diagram of the aura, as first mentioned by the medium Harold Sharp in the 1930's. My own brand is what I term aura art. This entails a spirit inspired artwork that is based upon the aura of a person and presented as a symbolic representation of a person's aura, in a pictorial form (see images opposite).

I have had no formal art training other than the mandatory subject in school. Though with the help of spirit the psychic artwork produced is of a high level of detail, rich in colour and full of emotions that at times bring tears to the heart.

The most important facet within all of my artwork is that of colour. Its hue, texture, the way the brush strokes have been laid down or indeed the heaviness of the pastel pencil onto the paper. I am often so involved in the artwork that I do not hear the phone or doorbell and at times the pastels pencils are a blur before my eyes.

Over the years I have developed through the mediums of HB3 pencil and charcoal to that of coloured pencils and charcoal then onto chalk pastels, before settling onto my now familiar soft pastels, which along with the quality of paper add both texture and detail to the artwork. I love working with soft pastels, with a lot of my drawings taking at most 22 minutes and as little as 12, each drawn onto an A3 sized sheet of pastel paper. I attend many demonstrations of psychic art, mainly around the midlands and south yorkshire. (see events page)

I have since developed into the use of oil paints, the texture leaps out of the page, the flow and ebb of emotions onto the page sing to my heart, so beautiful to use.

Recently I have tried Vintro paints, the same type of paint that is used by shabby chic to paint furniture. I was pleased with the results to the extent that I painted the whole wall of my art studio (19 ft by 9 ft) in a beautiful spirit inspired landscape. I now experiment painting on wood.

I have amassed well over 600 pieces of artwork and have to date photographs or scanned copies of each of drawings I have done, it inspires me to see how far my guide has brought me and a reminder of how far we have yet to travel.

A lot of my artwork is available to purchase and I also provide smaller prints onto a heavy silk paper.
Each drawing is unique and can not be done a second time, the feelings are just simply not there. I offer pastel drawings onto an A3 paper along with an in depth interpretation of the drawing, as well as oil paintings which are usually painted onto a flat canvas of around 25 x 20 inches. These pictures are are unique to you
